Compact ESL program for adults

Video Teacher® is the original program created by Lexicon to teach Spanish-speakers the English language. As the program that served as a basis for our extended ESL for Spanish-speakers, Inglés sin Barreras®, Video Teacher takes users through a multimedia learning experience in a condensed and abbreviated format. Users will learn the basics they need to participate in conversations in their day-to-day activities. Each binder has 1 audio CD that covers pronunciation of words and phrases used throughout the volume, 2 DVDs, as well as an instructional booklet. Volume 1 also contains an extra booklet with exams related to each corresponding volume. Volume 9 contains vocabulary flashcards, a pronunciation DVD a pocket dictionary and a grammar book. Each lesson goes over vocabulary, the class, and dialogues.

Features

Volume 1

This volume includes talking about oneself and asking about others and what others are doing and wearing. The Pronunciation CD covers vowels in the English language.

Volume 2

This volume includes describing oneself, costs, prices, and time. The Pronunciation CD covers pronunciation and sounds in the English language.

Volume 3

This volume includes the home, where people live, chores, and related ideas. The Pronunciation CD covers pronunciation and consonants in the English language.

Volume 4

This volume includes days, dates, holidays, seasons and the weather. The Pronunciation CD helps users with the English alphabet.

Volume 5

This volume includes the supermarket and different types of food. The Pronunciation CD helps users with the English alphabet and writing skills.

Volume 6

This volume explains how to give instructions, ask for help, and identify the different parts of a car. The Pronunciation CD helps users with the English alphabet and punctuation.

Volume 7

This volume includes describing how someone is feeling, staying healthy, and talking about work. The Pronunciation CD covers a conversation about going to the movies as well as discussing work schedules.

Volume 8

This volume includes describing who people are and what they are like. The Pronunciation CD covers how to change the time of an interview and what expecting a visitor is like.

Volume 9

Volume 9 contains a deck of vocabulary flashcards, a pronunciation DVD including the materials the user will have learned throughout the course, a compact bilingual dictionary and a practical manual of English grammar.
